Mildred Hailey Apartments
6 Lamartine Street, Boston
Three accomplished Boston based non-profit developers reimagine a portion of the Mildred Hailey campus, formerly known as Bromley Heath Public Housing. The first two buildings by The Community Builders are adjacent the Southwest Corridor, a pedestrian and bicycle path that connects Jackson Square and the Back Bay neighborhoods. Ivey Bueno Art Advisory brings local stories to the art program seen throughout this landmark re-development.

Jackson Square’s history is steeped in Latin America culture, Street Art, and community activism. Artists represented in the collection mirror the identity and narratives that are tied to the local community. Artworks include painting, photography, giclée prints, wall graphics, and commissioned hand-painted murals and sculptures. Collaborations with specialized non-profits allowed us to reach artists in some of our most under-represented groups including disabled, veteran, teen, and formerly unhoused community members.
