REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: The Brewery Exterior Mural 2025
Jamaica Plain, Boston
Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNCD), in partnership with Ivey Bueno Art Advisory, seeks proposals from professional artists for an original 2D hand-painted mural for Phase 1 of a multi-phase exterior art program. Phase 1 is located at 30 Germania Street, East façade facing Boylston Street with an approximate budget of $46,000.

About JPNDC
The Brewery Small Business Complex is a 19th century industrial complex that Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC), over more than 25 years, brought back into productive use. Today “The Brewery” is recognized nationwide as a model for adaptive re-use of historic buildings for community benefit. It is now a vibrant neighborhood gathering place with a restaurant, café, fitness center, and community dance and pottery schools. The Samuel Adams company also made The Brewery its home in 1985 and remains the anchor tenant today, attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists each year.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Mildred Hailey Exterior Murals 2025
Jackson Square, Boston
The Community Builders, in partnership with Ivey Bueno Art Advisory, seeks proposals from professional artists for original 2D hand-painted murals at two new construction buildings located in the heart of Jackson Square, Jamaica Plain. These new long-term murals will be visible from popular community assets including the Jackson Square Playground and Southwest Corridor. The estimated budgets are $12,000 and $40,000 for two new murals.

About The Community Builders
The Community Builders (TCB), Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC) and Urban Edge (UE) are three accomplished non-profit Boston-based development organizations with deep experience and success in developing vibrant, safe, affordable and mixed-income communities in the Jamaica Plain and Roxbury neighborhoods. In 2017, they were designated by the Boston Housing Authority to redevelop a portion of the Mildred Hailey campus, formerly known as the Bromley Heath Public Housing Development. The master plan includes replacing seven physically distressed buildings with seven new, modern residential buildings with new commercial and community spaces.
