about me

I’ve spent 25 years leading designers and contractors in developing some of the most recognizable hotels in North America, and most recently complex mixed-income housing projects in New England. With the same discipline, our teams ensured affordable housing developments were beautiful and healthy as well as functional. As an artist myself, I grew increasingly aware of the mark we left on the communities we impacted.

Today, I’m focused on connecting local artists with mission-oriented housing developers. Approaching the design and installation of every art program with the same diligence to scope, schedule, and budget, we make sure these two highly creative groups are able to work together successfully.

I envision a day when 100% of art purchased for any housing community is made by the artists who live and thrive among them.

how it began

I share that common belief that in order to love the city, you have to leave it regularly.  When immersed in nature, I get heady from the energy around me. Always, I’m at first desperate to draw, paint, photograph, (or all three!) despite knowing I will not be satisfied with any pursuit. And ultimately, it’s mother nature in her vastness who replenishes and changes me in ways only she can. In 2022 while perched on a Maine cliff, I decided to look inward. Then, I trekked the Andes, and while gasping the purest air atop a glacier, my mind quieted. Finally, as my booted steps crunched the forest floor along the Charles, I received the inspiration for Art Makes Place which may have been there all along.
