Mildred Hailey Apartments
2 Lamartine Street, Boston
Three accomplished non-profit Boston-based developers reimagine a portion of the Mildred Hailey campus, formerly known as Bromley Heath Public Housing. The first two buildings by The Community Builders are adjacent the Southwest Corridor, a pedestrian and bicycle path that connects Jackson Square to Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. Ivey Bueno Art Advisory brings local stories to the art program seen throughout the common spaces of this landmark re-development.
FLOCK by Rebecca Rose Greene
The Jackson Square neighborhood is home to Boston’s black and brown communities, with a history steeped in Latin America culture, Street Art, and community activism. Artists represented in the collection mirror the identity and narratives that are tied to the local community. Collaborating also with specialized non-profits allowed us to reach artists in some of our most under-represented groups like disabled, veteran, teens, and formerly unhoused community members.
